GAMING enthusiasts turned out in their droves to support a new Greenock business on Saturday.

The team at Geek Retreat opened the doors of the community hub and cafe in Kilblain Street.

People from all over Inverclyde popped in to see the new venture and to chat with staff.

Brothers William and James Ford will be running the hub with a team of four staff.

They plan to run community events which will attract people of all ages.

William said the inaugural event was a great success.

He added: "We were overjoyed by the reception we got on our opening day.

"The turnout was immense and people were so kind and supportive.

"Our staff were fantastic too and showed us that we've hired the best people for the job.

"We loved seeing everyone's passion and we're determined to give them the space they deserve."
