POLICE say they have launched an investigation after a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after crashing into a parked vehicle.

The man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow following the accident on Tasker Street at 6.35pm on Thursday.

The parked van was left badly damaged by the impact of the collision.

Police want to speak to eyewitnesses who were at the scene.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: "Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances and are appealing to the public for any information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2901 of May 5."
