TINY tot Saul Molloy was unfazed as he took centre stage along with his mum at the Royal visit.

The ten-month-old, who has just taken his first steps, helped showed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge how the Roots of Empathy lessons work.

During the session his mum Laura answered questions from the children about Saul and his development, while he was busy crawling around the floor playing with the St John's class.

His proud mum said she was delighted as her baby boy took all the attention in his stride.

Laura, who has two other children Roma, three, and Leo, five, said: "I was so nervous but I am so proud of Saul, he did very well.

"It was really lovely to meet Prince William and Kate.

"You can just see for yourself how much they love children.

"Kate is just lovely."

History teacher Laura, who lives in Greenock, first took part in the project with daughter Roma and was delighted to come to St John's with her little brother.

She said: "My son Leo is at St John's and I was delighted to come here with Saul, I think the programme is brilliant and it makes a real difference."
