WORLD leading shipbuilder Dr Stuart Ballantyne and respected maritime expert Professor Alf Baird will be the keynote speakers at a public meeting in Greenock tomorrow on the future of Scotland's ferry fleet.
Central to their vision — which will be presented at the Beacon Arts Centre — is the utilisation of the nationalised Ferguson Marine shipyard in Port Glasgow in tandem with Inchgreen Dry Dock.
Dr Ballantyne's Sea Transport Corporation has coastal ferries operating in 47 countries around the world.
Tomorrow's public meeting is taking place at the Beacon from 4pm onwards.
