A TRIAL of a Gourock man charged with brandishing a knife and making threats in a street in Greenock has been postponed for procedural reasons.
David McAlpine, 26 — who is said to have committed the alleged offence in February 2020 — will not now have his case heard until December.
McAlpine, of Collingwood Terrace in Gourock, is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, acting aggressively and shouting and swearing during an alleged incident on Greenock's West Stewart Street.
He has maintained a plea of not guilty through lawyer Paul Keenan and his trial is due to take place in December.
