TESCO bosses in Greenock are seeking planning permission for two electric vehicle charging stations that they have already installed.
The supermarket has also applied for permission to display advertisements on a screen integrated into one of the chargers.
This is the second time that the company has had to retrospectively apply for planning permission, having made a similar application at their Port Glasgow store earlier this year.
The application is currently being considered by council officials.
