A BOY aged 16 is facing criminal proceedings at Greenock Sheriff Court charged with unlawful possession of a knife within a fast food restaurant.
The youth — who cannot be identified for legal reasons — is said to have committed the alleged offence at McDonald's in Port Glasgow on April 16.
He has pleaded not guilty after appearing in court on a police undertaking and was allowed bail.
The case is due to call again on August 16, ahead of a trial scheduled for September.
