A VOLUNTARY group offering a lifeline transport service has a top new sponsor on board.

Inverclyde Voluntary Council of Social Services ( IVCSS) is delighted to announce a deal with Port Glasgow based independent Mercedes specialists Merparts.

They will help the charity keep their fleet of 20 buses on the road.

Paul Mazzoni, who runs the long standing company with his two brothers Stef and Philippo, said: "We are happy to support a great local cause like this. We are sponsoring one of the buses as well as helping with the servicing of some of the vehicles which are Mercedes.

"We are aware of the great work they do and we are committed to the local community."

Chairman David Terrey, secretary Jim Sinclair and transport convenor Andy Neilly presented their new sponsors with a thank you gift.

Jim added: "We are so please to have partners like Merparts. We look forward to working with them."
