AN ARDGOWAN Primary class took a step back in time to learn more about the art of dressing Mary Queen of Scots.
Primary five pupils enjoyed a special workshop with theatre costume designer Helen McKnight to find out more about creating a 16th century gown.
The Royal Conservatoire artist started with a blank canvas and took them through the process of designing the dress to stitching it together.
It was all part of their class project on one of Scotland's most famous monarchs.
Olivia Adam and friend Erin McLachlan said the session was a big hit.
Olivia added: "It was a great way to learn about history."
Helen, who has a son in primary one, came along to Ardgowan Primary as part of project inviting parents into school to talk about their jobs.
Class teacher Jane Noble said: "This really brought our project to life. It was brilliant for the pupils."
