I took this picture after it emerged that the much-loved Inverclyde Music Festival could come to a halt due to a volunteer shortage. Festival organisers Isabel Lind and Anne McGregor made an impassioned appeal for people to step forward to ensure Inverclyde's prime cultural event survives. These are just some of the lively youngsters who took to the gym mat in celebration of the first 30 years of Inverclyde Gymnastics Club. The popular activity group held a special birthday bash at Greenock's Beacon Arts.
Musical Marathon

Pipe Dream
Tele reporter Gordon McCracken and I visited St Columba's School in Kilmacolm to meet one of the only groups from our district taking part in today's British Pipe Band Championship at Battery Park, Greenock. We wish the band all the best in their appearance at the first major piping event of the season.
