CARING pensioners rallied round to support the people of Ukraine by donating £100 to their relief effort.
Residents of Alt-Na-Craig House raised £400 at their recent coffee morning, which will go towards helping fund their summer outings.
But Eleanor Pickett and Sandra MacAulay, recreation co-ordinators at the home, said residents wanted to give something to help the plight of those caught in the warzone.
Eleanor said: "The residents enjoyed the day and the event was well supported by their families.
"The decided to donate £100 to the Ukraine aid effort as they have all been following what has been happening on the news and wanted to do something to help in some small way."
