A GREENOCK couple are facing a series of shoplifting charges including a claim they targeted one store on New Year's Day.
John MacLeod, 37, and Cheryl Anne Rodger, 35, are accused of stealing items including groceries, candles, fragrance sets, face creams, TV aerials, electrical gear and a dummy CCTV camera.
They are accused of carrying out raids at five stores — the Co-op on Cardwell Road, Gourock, Greenock Tesco, The Range, and Aldi and B&Q in Port Glasgow between January 1 and 25.
The pair, of Auchmead Road, have pleaded not guilty through lawyer Derek Buchanan.
The case is due to call again on August 16.
