A BID for a new petrol station in Greenock, an outdoor area at a local chippy and changes at a community garden all feature in this week's planning round-up.
Councillors urged to back petrol station bid
Planners are backing a proposal for a new petrol station along the main road through Greenock which should generate 30 new jobs.
Now councillors are set to have the final say on the bid - with Shell and BP both lined up as potential operators for the site.
The redevelopment of the former Arnold Clark Vauxhall garage on Port Glasgow Road would include a filling station and a shop plus offices.
Councillors will decide whether to grant the application on June 9.
Solar panels for Quarriers Village house
A homeowner in Quarriers Village is seeking to install 25 solar panels on the roof of their home.
Planning officials are considering an application to add the panels to the north west and south west sides of the School Wynd home's roof.
Community garden goes down under
A community garden at a Greenock church could be going undercover.
Proposals to install canopies at Lyle Gateway have been lodged with Inverclyde Council.
Planners are considering the application, along with another for an upgrade to the patio entrance at the front of the Lyle Kirk church.
Outdoor seating for local chippy
A Greenock chip shop could soon be getting a new outdoor seating area if council planners grant permission.
Fisherman's Dock on Cathcart Street, which opened up earlier this year, is seeking permission to install an awning at outside the shop and bosses want to use a section of the pavement for outdoor tables.
Balcony for Greenock house
Plans to add a balcony and a home office to a Greenock house are being considered by council planners.
An application to extend a Newton Street property over its garage and create a small recessed balcony have been submitted for official approval.
The proposals also outline plans for a first floor extension to create a home office above the property's existing shower.
A fence will also be built along the front boundary with a neighbouring property if the plans are approved.
