HOUSEHOLDS on Universal Credit in Inverclyde will be receiving more than £2m in support payments between them next month.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) recently announced that £326 of its cost of living payment will be go to eligible households on July 14, with the second payment of £324 following in autumn.
A total of 7,144 households in Inverclyde were on Universal Credit at the start of this year.
Between them, they will receive £2,328,944 in extra cash as part of the UK Government's package to help families deal with rising bills.
