A KILMACOLM man who is charged with making threats of violence and placing a Gourock woman in a state of fear and alarm during a phone call has been ordered by a sheriff to stay away from her.
Robert Anderson, 57, is said to have also uttered derogatory remarks when committing the alleged offence on June 2.
Anderson appeared at the sheriff court to plead not guilty through his lawyer Derek Buchanan.
He was allowed bail on condition that he does not approach or contact the woman and stays away from her address, with the case due to call in court again on July 26.
