MISSING CCTV evidence in the prosecution of a former Port Glasgow post office worker for alleged theft has been found.

Prosecutors were allowed a four-month adjournment to find the footage after discovering in February that they didn't have it.

However, the near three-year-old case against accused Francesca Donnelly has been continued further, to allow her lawyer Amy Spencer to 'view it in more detail'.

Donnelly, of Burnbank Terrace, is charged with stealing money from the former post office on Princes Street in December 2019.

She has maintained a plea of not guilty, with the case due to call again on September 20 ahead of a trial scheduled for October.
