A WOMAN found in charge of a car on a Port street whilst intoxicated on cocaine has been banned from the roads and fined.

Caroline Clements, 37, was 'slumped' over the steering wheel of the vehicle on Burnside Avenue.

Defence lawyer Paul Lynch told Greenock Sheriff Court his client is a self-employed painter and decorator with one employee.

Sheriff Neil Kinnear imposed three penalty points on Clements' licence, taking her beyond the 12-point threshold due to previous driving offences, resulting in her being disqualified for the next six months.

She was also fined £360 for the November 2020 offence.
