A TEAM of Notre Dame netballers scored a place in the final of a prestigious national competition.

Youngsters made their school proud as they took part in the Netball Scotland Scottish Youth Cup Final with their local team, Clyde Netball Club.

The under 15s, who are now silver medallists, were pipped at the post at the final moment of the exciting game held at Glasgow's Emirates Arena.

Representing Notre Dame on the day were Libby Hourston, Emma Brooks, Aiva McDonald, Lucy Bell, Lucy Deveney, Lucy Service and Emma Maestri.

Emma Brooks, who is 14, said: "The atmosphere was amazing and we are all really proud to have represented our school and Clyde Netball Club."

School depute head Gerard Gordon said: "I am so pleased for the girls - they are exceptionally talented and deserve their success."
