TESCO have defended their fuel prices locally after a councillor called for them to be brought in line with neighbouring areas.
Recent figures published in the Tele showed that people in Inverclyde are being charged more for fuel than drivers in Paisley and parts of Glasgow.
Cllr Martin McCluskey wrote to Morrisons, Tesco and BP demanding that the three explain the difference in prices.
Tesco bosses have replied telling him the company is doing 'what it can' to help keep the cost of living down for local families.
