A PORT Glasgow teenager charged with attacking his ex-partner to the danger of her life and attempting to rape her has maintained a plea of not guilty at Greenock Sheriff Court.
Nathan McKenzie, 18, is accused of compressing the alleged victim's neck and causing it to 'crack' during an alleged serious assault on December 23 last year.
He is said to have caused her to lose consciousness before seizing her by the hair and dragging her into a bedroom at a property in the town and further attacking her.
McKenzie, represented by lawyer Ellen Macdonald, is further charged with breaching a bail order to stay away from the woman and with struggling with police in January.
He remains remanded in custody ahead of another calling of the case set for July 12.
