TINY tots at a Greenock nursery have officially unveiled their exciting new outdoor classroom.

Gibshill Children Centre's new outdoor 'Zen Den' is a special space for wee ones to learn, play and chill out.

Janine Burns, head of the centre, said: "We had some money to spend and wanted to develop our outdoor area.

"The kids love the classroom.

"It's a place for them to go to learn or if they just want some quiet time they can be in there too."

The impressive new relaxation space has comfortable seats, book shelves stacked with the children's favourites and a teepee.

Doing the opening honours were the youngest and oldest children at the centre - five-year-old Kyle MacDonald and Callie Carter, who is two.

Janine said: "There has been a real focus on outdoor learning due to the pandemic, so it made sense to invest in this space."
