A PAIR of creatives will be working and meeting with locals at Greenock's Cut Visitor Centre this summer.

Artist Noel Griffin, from Gourock, is working on art which showcases the natural history of the site and will be available to chat on Mondays and Tuesdays until mid-August.

Irene Evison will be showcasing her talents in creating wool tapestry between August 10-14.

She said: "I'm creating a woven tapestry installation, with panels representing features of the local natural heritage and community.

"The Inverclyde Shed are helping make the weaving frame and local farmer Neil McIntyre is supplying the fleece I'll be using.

"I am hoping that lots of visitors to the Greenock Cut Centre will help me with the weaving."
