A SEQUEL of the successful pictures in the park event in Greenock proved a box office hit despite typically unpredictable summer weather.
After a successful run last summer, the open air cinema event was back at Battery Park.
It was run by Inverclyde Leisure in partnership with the council as part of their busy Summer of Fun activities.
Local film fans were not deterred by changing weather, with hundreds of families flocking to the park to see a line up of fan-favourite movies, including Trolls, Moana and Back to the Future, Sing 2, Encanto, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Deckchairs and bean bags were laid on so that everyone had a comfy seat to watch the screenings.
Other entertainment was laid on too, with Boogie Bugs sessions for tots and their parents and a stage with different live performances throughout each day, while a cafe was available for snacks and refreshments.
Organisers have thanked all the IL and community learning and development staff who pitched in to make sure the event was a success and praised their 'amazing resilience'.
They say they hope to arrange another event later this summer.
