PLANS to open a new branch of Greenock's Esplanade Cafe in Gourock town centre have been given the go-ahead by Inverclyde Council.
Marco Medinelli, the owner of the cafe, has been given permission to use a vacant unit on Kempock Street as a hot food takeaway.
Design documents submitted as part of the application show a preparation area for hot food such as paninis, with a freezer and cake displays.
A flue will be installed at the rear of the property.
