The number of people who took their own life in Inverclyde fell last year.
Latest figures from National Records of Scotland show that there were nine probable suicides recorded in Inverclyde in 2021, a fall from the previous year's figure of 13.
The area's age-standardised mortality rate from 2017 to 2021 was 15.3 persons, which was higher than the Scottish average of 14.1.
There were 57 probable suicides recorded in Inverclyde across the five-year period.
