INVERCLYDE could feature in a new BBC documentary showcasing Caledonian MacBrayne and the communities it serves.

The Gourock-based ferry provider will be the subject of a 'behind the scenes' series.

Producers are currently scouting locations and are looking to film 'as much of the network as possible', with Inverclyde being touted as one.

Robbie Drummond, managing director of CalMac, said: "This is a chance for us to show who we really are and the lengths our people go to every day to deliver our services."
