THE Oak Mall has been dealt another blow with the closure of a big name jewellery outlet.
Warren James Jewellers are set to shut following the end of their lease at the town centre shopping mall.
The jewellery outlet will be the latest in a long line of shops to close premises at the centre, with other brands such as Savers pulling out over the last two years.
The store has been a fixture of the town centre since it opened its doors in 2016.
As one of the country's biggest jewellery chains, the store's opening was seen as a boost for the Mall at the time.
It is currently holding a closing down sale, but the Tele understands that staff have not been given a closure date.
One saddened shopper told the Tele they were disappointed to see another big name leave the Oak Mall.
They said: "We've lost M&S, Burton, WH Smiths, Dorothy Perkins and now this."
Another shopper added: "I hope the people working there aren't laid off, that would be dreadful."
Warren James did not respond to the Tele's request for comment.
