PETROL pump prices in Inverclyde have fallen - but still remain among the highest in the country.
The Tele highlighted earlier this year how motorists here were being charged around 12-13 pence more than nearby Glasgow and Renfrewshire.
The price has since dropped significantly, according to data gathered by analysts PetrolMap.
On August 1, the average price across Inverclyde's forecourts was £1.89 per litre.
It then dropped to £1.77, making Inverclyde the local authority area with the biggest decrease in Scotland.
Despite the change, the district remains one of the most expensive places in the country to fuel up.
On latest figures it is second after the Orkney Islands, with the average cost per litre still being eight pence and 10p more than Glasgow and Renfrewshire respectively.
