A ROW of trees overhanging Gourock Primary were cut down to size.
Contractors moved in with heavy duty machinery on Broomberry Drive as a team of tree surgeons cut nine of them back.
Inverclyde Council confirmed the decision to reduce their size was taken on health and safety grounds following consultations with the school and outside experts.
