INVERCLYDE is set for outbreaks of snow and ice this Friday after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for the area.
The weather monitoring service says that the wintry weather is likely to cause disruption in Inverclyde, with roads and railways expected to be affected.
Experts have put the alert in place from 6am on Friday morning until midnight.
The warning states injuries could occur due to slips and falls on icy surfaces and that there is a slight chance of power cuts occurring.
