A GREENOCK care home is 'back with a brew' as it relaunches popular community event for the first time since 2020.
Balclutha Court is bringing back 'coffee and a chat' where members of the public can visit their Forsyth Street base for a cuppa and a blether with staff and residents.
The Barchester-run home previously held them monthly before the pandemic and staff members Jill Magee, Karen Dillon and Rhona Findlay are delighted to see them return.
Karen, who is the home's activities coordinator, told the Tele: "They proved so popular before the pandemic, they were a chance for members of the community to pop in and say hello.
"Now we're back to some sort of normality, so we are delighted to be able to start back.
"It is really important for the home to have links with the community and we're looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces."
The get-togethers will be held on the first Friday of the month, with the first taking place on March 3.
Karen continued: "Times are hard and we can do our bit by offering a warm space and a chance for a cup of tea and a chat.
"There is still a misconception that homes are inaccessible after the pandemic, but we're so pleased to be back with a welcoming face and a listening ear."
Balclutha will run the events from 11am to 1pm.
