AN arrest warrant has been issued for a Greenock woman after she failed to appear for trial charged with driving a car whilst intoxicated on cocaine.
Accused Samantha Jewell's lawyer said she had called his office to report having suffered a 'punctured lung'.
The solicitor told the sheriff court: "However, she says that her doctor cannot provide a soul and conscience letter [vouching for her stated condition]."
Sheriff David Pender remarked: "She's got a punctured lung and no soul and conscience? Warrant."
Jewell, 33, of Nicolson Street, is charged with being five-times the legal limit of 10mcg of cocaine in her bloodstream whilst driving an Audi A3 on Auchmead Road.
She is further charged with possession of the class A drug.
