TRAIN passengers in Inverclyde are set to benefit from up to 60 per cent off journeys on selected routes.
ScotRail is launching its Massive Ticket Drop on Thursday April 6, with advance single tickets available for certain routes across Scotland.
The train operator usually releases 50,000 advance tickets every week for travel over the next eight weeks.
The Massive Ticket Drop, however, will see an extra 100,000 released.
These can be used on intercity routes, as well as coastal routes such as Oban, Ayr, and North Berwick.
Advance fares can also be used on some rural routes into and out of Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Inverness.
Alex Hynes, managing director of Scotland’s Railway, said: “We’re expecting this offer to be popular, so our advice to customers is to follow our top tips for booking advance fares and look for quieter trains in the morning or late evening, and search for city stations rather than local stations.”
