THE host of the Tele’s Community Champions event is preparing for another new role — with a much earlier alarm clock.

Jennifer Reoch, who will present the awards at a glittering ceremony on May 5, is set to join Des Clarke on Heart Scotland’s breakfast show on weekday mornings.

The pair broadcast live from Glasgow between 6:30am and 10am as part of a shake up of the station’s schedule.

Jennifer said: "I'm thrilled to be presenting the new breakfast show on Heart with Des, broadcasting live from Glasgow.

"It's always been a dream of mine to present the morning slot and I can't think of a better person to do it with than Des.

"We'll be bringing our fun and dymanic selves to a new group of listeners and early risers.

"As well as playing feel good hits all morning long, there will be a whole heap of new content, from showtopping guests to listener giveaways, you won't want to miss it!"

Des will be returning to breakfast radio after having previously hosted the slot for 13 years on Capital, Global, and Beat 106.

Full new line-ups were announced across Heart and Capital’s Scottish stations today with local voices set to hit the waves seven days per week.

Mark Lee, CEO of Capital Scotland’s owner Communicorp UK, said: “Our new Scottish talent will bring new and exciting content within an already fantastic station.

“Combined with the best hit music from the Capital brand, our place as the official radio partner of the OVO Hydro, and our existing relationships within live music, it will further cement our position as Scotland’s number one hit music station.”
