A FORMER nurse from Greenock is reportedly set to give information to an inquiry team investigating Covid-19 deaths in hospitals and care homes.
Whistleblower Lesley Roberts is part of a wider campaign group seeking to hold the Scottish Government to account for thousands of deaths since the start of the pandemic.
It has been reported officers involved in Operation Koper, a Crown Office led probe, have asked Ms Roberts for an in-depth statement.
She said: "I wrote to the Lord Advocate, the Procurator Fiscal and Chief Constable Iain Livingstone.
"It was only after that I was contacted by the inquiry team.”
It is now expected there will be formal police interviews by the Covid-19 Deaths Investigation Team.
Ms Roberts, along with fellow campaigners, blame the Scottish Government for deaths since the pandemic struck.
It is understood they have reported the government to the police for corporate manslaughter.
Ms Roberts previously called out concerns about masks and the use of Do Not Resuscitate orders during the pandemic.
