FOUR community groups and organisations in Inverclyde have been awarded money to help locals celebrate the King's Coronation next month.
The National Lottery's Community Fund is supporting a range of activities across the weekend of May 6-8.
Groups benefiting in Inverclyde are:
- 2nd Larkfield Rainbows - £650 to deliver a community event in Gourock to celebrate the Coronation.
- Stepwell Consultancy Ltd - £4,000 to deliver eight Coronation Celebration cook school sessions for the local community.
- St Ninian's Parish Church - £2,000 to host coronation celebrations for Inverclyde.
- Youth Connections - £2,450 to host a coronation family fun day in Greenock.
