THE sun shone as one of the first arrivals of the new cruise ship season made her way up the River Clyde to berth in Greenock.

The 180-passenger capacity MS Spitsbergen stopped off at Ocean Terminal on Monday morning following a 10-day tour of the Hebrides.

The vessel is one of the first cruise ships to visit the town this year, with the much larger Mein Schiff 3 set to arrive this Sunday.
