ESTABLISHED in 1835, the Kilmacolm & Port Glasgow Agricultural Show is one of Inverclyde's premier events that features a host of displays and competition entries from across the farming and sporting world.

With a rich and diverse programme of classes covering all aspects of country life, the event attracts thousands of visitors every year. Here are five of the many pictures taken during shows of the past.

Preparations for this year's show are well under way, with volunteers being sought and the finishing touches being put to the organisation, and the Tele will once again be capturing all the action on May 13.
