WE asked an AI chatbot what the five best and worst things about Greenock are – and this is what it said.
Advancements in artificial intelligence are growing ever-popular, with programmes like ChatGPT being used every day.
We decided to ask the text-based AI to list the highlights and lowlights of our town to see if there’s any truth in what it comes up with.
What are the five best things about Greenock?
- Stunning views over the River Clyde
- Vibrant events and festivals
- Proximity to Glasgow
- Friendly people
- Picturesque parks and gardens
What are the five worst things about Greenock?
- Lack of public transport
- Occasional traffic congestion
- Some areas that can be quite run-down
- Noise pollution from nearby industrial areas
- The cost of living can be higher than other areas.
According to the AI programme, the local scenery is one of the best things about the area - and we can certainly agree with that, with Greenock Cut, Lyle Hill providing spectacular views over the area and the Esplanade offering stunning waterfront walks along the Clyde.
Picturesque parks and gardens and friendly people are also listed among the positives, however, 'occasional traffic congestion' and high levels of deprivation are noted as some of the worst things about the town.
What do you think about the AI answers?
