The Greenock Telegraph is gearing up to celebrate Inverclyde's youth footballers.

In a special souvenir supplement, the Greenock Telegraph will be recognising those passionate youngsters who tackle like Andy Robertson, dribble like Lionel Messi and save like Craig Gordon.

With this special edition, we will be sharing team pictures of the area's rising stars, and putting those special players and teams front and centre.

Greenock Telegraph Group Editor, Gillian Murphy, highlighted the importance of this upcoming supplement, the date of which is yet to be announced.

She said: "This is a great opportunity to celebrate grassroots football and recognise the teams who are out there every week playing the beautiful game.

"Inverclyde has a strong football heritage and many young people are involved in playing the sport from an early age.

"We want to recognise some of the sport’s rising stars by creating this souvenir supplement which family members can treasure for years to come."

What makes this exciting edition even better is that you, our fantastic readers, will be playing the most vital role.

We want you to send in pictures of your own, your family’s or even friend’s youth football teams and players.

They can be from any local league.
