AN Inverclyde secondary school is set to take part in a national engineering challenge.
St Columba’s High School in Gourock will compete in the Institute of Engineering and Technology’s Faraday Challenge Day at Glasgow Airport today.
Students from six Scottish schools will take on the role of an engineer for the day to research, design and build solutions to real-life problems.
Each team member in the winning group will be awarded a prize, as well as a trophy for the school.
Challenges are taking place across the UK throghout the academic year, with the top five schools receving an all-expenses paid trip to the national final in June.
