THE detection rate for hate crime in Inverclyde has improved.
Police state in a new report that four fewer hate incidents were recorded in Inverclyde between April 1 2022 and February 28 2023 when compared to the same period over 2021/22.
They say that the detection rate for hate crimes in this period increased to 78.7 per cent from 67.4 per cent the previous year.
The report also states that more of the hate incidents reported resulted in a crime being recorded.
