PARENTS are being invited to enjoy some of cinema’s top new releases and socialise with others as Greenock’s Waterfront Cinema reintroduces its baby-friendly showings.

The parent and baby screenings will be held every Tuesday from 11.30am, with lower volume than usual screenings, soft lighting, and no adverts.

Four films are lined up next month, with tickets on sale for £5 – covering one adult and baby. Additional accompanying adults can also attend for £5.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret starring Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates will be showing on June 6, followed by Disney new live action version of The Little Mermaid on June 13.

Parents can enjoy Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on June 20, as well as Take That jukebox musical Greatest Days on June 27.

The screenings are open to adults attending with a baby under the age of 18 months. Up to four adults can accompany one baby.

The Waterfront says the events are a great way to meet other parents, and that there is no need to worry about disturbances as everyone is in the same situation with their little ones.
