CARDWELL Garden Centre launch their annual Gardenfest competition on Friday June 9.
The competition will continue until the closing date of August 29.
Gardeners can email their entries to gardenfest@gmail.com
Each entry should contain three photographs for each category entered – for example Best Pots or Junior section.
Each category winner will receive £50 in Cardwell gift vouchers, a trophy engraved with their name which they will retain for 11 months and a certificate.
All entrants will be invited to a prizegiving event to be held in September.
This year's categories are:
1. Best Community Garden.
2. Best Hanging Baskets.
3. Best Planted Pots.
4. Best Junior Gardener -under 16 years of age.
5. Best Wild Flower/ Nature Friendly Garden.
6. Best Overall Garden.
Our gardening page will contain updates on all aspects of the competition each week including hints and tips about what can be done to enhance your entry.
Remember each gardener can choose when they wish to photograph their entries so they become in charge of the weather.
