A TV show starring Greenock-born actor Martin Compston is in the running for a prestigious accolade at tonight's Royal Television Society Scotland awards. 

The glittering bash recognises the best talent, skills and creativity in TV across 2022. 

The Line of Duty star's Scottish Fling series, which saw him travel Scotland with his friend Phil MacHugh, is up for a gong in the best entertainment and features category.

A second season of the popular programme was recently confirmed by the actor. 

Elsewhere, several of Mr Compston's colleagues from hit BBC drama Mayflies are up for awards. 

Tony Curran is in the running for best male actor, while Joe Sawyer has been put forward in the 'Post Production: Editing (Craft)' category.

Alasdair Boyce has been nominated for his camera work on the programme, with the creative team behind the project also up for a gong.
