A GROUP of brave pub workers are preparing to ‘fly across the Clyde’ in bid to raise funds for an Inverclyde charity.
The five-strong team from The Coach House in Bridge of Weir will take on the Zip Slide the Clyde challenge this Sunday.
Aimee Colquhoun, Mark James, Leigh Adams, Blair Ketteringham and manager Francis Carr are aiming to raise £1,000 for Quarriers.
The social care charity is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and adults throughout Scotland.

The 1000-feet zipline will run from Yorkhill Quay car park, with the team gliding towards the finish line at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
Francis said: “We are all thrilled to be actively involved in fundraising for such a worthy cause.
“At The Coach House, a part of Buzzworks, we have a long tradition of supporting local charities through various initiatives.
“Our upcoming ‘Zip-Slide the Clyde’ adventure has stirred a mix of excitement and nerves among us.
“Aimee, in particular, has a real fear of heights, so she may take some coaxing.

“However, we’re providing her with plenty of encouragement by telling her it is much higher than it is, so that it is less scary when she gets there!”
Quarriers community fundraiser Lynsey Scobie said: “We are very grateful to Francis and the team from The Coach House, in Bridge of Weir, for getting involved in this challenge.
“The money raised by the team will have such a positive impact on the people we support and hopefully it’s the first of many fundraising challenges the ‘Fearless Five’ take on to raise funds for Quarriers.”
