ONE of the leading business figures in Inverclyde is to be awarded an honorary degree by Glasgow Caledonian University.
Dr Poonam Gupta OBE, chief executive of PG Paper, one of Scotland’s most successful export businesses, is to receive the honour.
She launched PG Paper from her home in Kilmacolm and her portfolio of companies now turns over more than £60m and operates in more than 60 countries.
Poonam will receive a Doctor of Business Administration in recognition of her contribution to business and charity, and her commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
The presentation will be made at a summer graduation ceremony this week at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall.
