A SENIOR councillor has welcomed national awards for the Bunston Grove housing development in Greenock.
The 200-home development clinched regeneration and affordable development titles at the Scottish Home Awards.
Michael McCormick, who is the local authority's environment and regeneration convener, also congratulated the housing association behind it, Link, for being named the best in the country.
Councillor McCormick said: “A huge congratulations to Link Group on their hat-trick of award wins, including for the Bunston Grove development in Greenock.
“It’s also great exposure for Inverclyde on a national stage at the prestigious Scottish Home Awards and worthy recognition for the efforts being made by the council alongside Link and all our housing partners in developing and delivering high quality and affordable accommodation for our residents.
“We know Inverclyde is a great place to live, work and visit but it’s wonderful to receive a ringing endorsement such as this.”
