The Friends of Wemyss Bay Station have discovered an old colour photo from the 1960s - and are looking for the public's help to identify the boy in the photograph.

The picture turned up when station volunteers were sorting out their extensive archive collection of photographs.

It shows the station wall in the background and a goods train being shunted along the old track.

The caption on the back reads: “2-6-63 - ‘The Catch'".

A spokesperson for the station said it reminded them of their own station statue: "It reminds us of our own Bobby! We reckon the subject would be maybe ten years old or so. So they’d be about 70 today.

"Anyone recognise themselves?

"Do drop us a line!"
