GREENOCK Ocean Terminal welcomed its seventh ship in as many days this morning with the arrival of Azamara Journey.

The vessel’s visit falls during a very busy spell which will see nine ships arrive in the town back-to-back.

Azamara Journey is no stranger to the Clyde, having spent more than a year at King George V dock in Shieldhall during the pandemic.

Her sister ships Azamara Quest and Azamara Pursuit also spent time in Glasgow during restrictions.

The 11-deck vessel is currently around halfway through a one-way ‘golf-themed’ cruise from Dublin to Leith.

She departed the Irish capital last Thursday, sailing to Liverpool where passengers enjoyed the final two days of competition at The Open at Royal Liverpool.

The ship then stopped off in the Isle of Man and Belfast, where guests had the chance to play at Royal County Down or Royal Portrush.

During their visit to Scotland's west coast, they will take to the course at Ailsa Turnberry and Prestwick Golf Club.

After leaving Greenock, Azamara Journey will visit Invergordon and Dundee before she reaches Leith on July 30.

She is due to call here again on Sunday, August 27.
